Summary:
  • Interact with hedge fund, private equity, venture capital, and limited partner investment and finance officers on the valuation of investments
  • Manage managers and staff in the preparation of valuations for closely held or publicly traded companies with a focus on the alternative investment space
  • Participate in business development and origination activities
  • Work with financial models including diverse valuation methods, such as discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and allocation models
  • Perform analyses on financial and economic data, subject companies, guideline companies, industries and markets, and other types of fund and investment analysis
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, Bloomberg, Capital IQ and other application and data providers

Required Skills:
  • Significant experience with valuations of business entities, various forms of equity, debt instruments, and financial analysis and research
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid analytical and financial modeling skills, the ability to work well in a team environment and a commitment to mentoring and developing staff
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple valuation engagements and manage client relationships
  • Strong work ethic, ability to multitask, presentation, problem solving and organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in valuation
