Job Title: ETL/Informatica Integration Developer

Location: Cincinnati, Oh

Terms: Long term contract

Over the past 20 years, the quantity of data requests and related analytical systems at our client has exploded.  This has steadily increased the number of duplicative datasets, the complexity of the landscape and created a wide variety of data quality challenges within the enterprise. As an example of our complex environment, they run 18,000 batch data integration jobs a day just within the clients’ Technology to run the business.  The challenge will be magnified as we stand up new systems and capabilities causing decision makers to navigate and balance the old and the new in leveraging data-driven insights. The organization is making a major investment and strategic shift toward the Cloud (powered by Microsoft Azure).  In order to effectively pivot the direction of the Shared Services Data Organization, the group building and maintaining our interconnected ecosystem, the existing support for our tangled data landscape within our data centers must be reduced.  The Simplification project will have four core areas of focus in 2020:

  1. Simplify the end-to-end delivery of data for analytics, reducing redundant copies of data and related integration processes.
  2. Improve data quality through data setup or mismatch resolution at originating source systems and establish additional quality checks as the data moves
  3. Increase visibility to, and improve, system health by adding additional process checks with clear data lineage with alerting at traditional breakpoints.
  4. Establish standardized, consistent key business metrics across the organization.
