Job Summary:

This role will be a leader who is in charge of two major projects within the bank. Common Lead activities such as planning reporting and working with management on weekly even daily project status as needed.

QA Lead Job Responsibilities:
  • You will be accountable for all things related to testing but not going to be testing them yourself
  • More of a PM for testing
  • You will have to ask the right questions (who,what, when, how)
  • Will be aligned to online banking team (customer facing) (Monthly releases)
  • You are a driver, you will work with the business to define UAT Testing
  • You are a influencer, and will teach the business the importance of testing (talk them into testing, creating the test cases, training them to test)
  • Implement QA Process and QA best practices & testing best practices
  • Working with the testing teams to write better test cases and making sure testers are testing and prioritizing the right things 
  • May serve as test lead for some projects and plan out testing plans for teams
  • Help set the standard for testing and policing it 
  • Will not be hands on, will be guiding, advising, and teaching teams
QA Lead Job Requirements:
  • Senior QA testing experience strong in process and guiding others
  • Experience in leading teams towards to right way to test, act as an adviser
  • Experience as a lead or manager 
  • Have worked in Bug Defect tracking environment (ALM, Load Runner, and TFS is preferred)
  • Must have proven leadership / delegation in a QA Environment
  • Must have strong understanding of QA best practices (not just testing)
  • RACI (Responsibility, accountability, contributor, influencer)
  • Personality “Kill them with kindness”
  • Someone that can dictate without being a dictator. Someone that knows how to talk to people and get them on their side, strategically persuasive 
  • Polished Communication - You must drive initiatives but cannot be so direct that your off-putting to the business.
