This position is part of the Global eCommerce User Experience (UX) Team. We are currently seeking a User Experience Product Owner experienced in delivering an outstanding eCommerce experience to consumers. This person will be responsible for driving UX projects to improve the online customer experience for our .com globally. The product owner will manage the identification, conception, definition, design, testing and implementation of UX projects with the goal of improving the customer experience, online engagement and purchase conversion.

 

Job responsibilities

          Define user experience improvements leveraging input from customer feedback, onsite analytics, geography/business stakeholders and executives

          Manage project lifecycle, deliverables and cross-functional business management system (BMS) including: 

          Project definition:

          Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, research best practices, and perform competitive analysis to define the project scope

          Assign roles & responsibilities and create a timeline and schedule for all activities tied to the project

          Prioritize requirements to define information architecture and user flow

          Project design/implementation:

          Create or collaborate with designers to create wireframes

          Work closely with designers to create and iterate on designs based on stakeholder requirements

          Work with UX researchers to develop usability tests

          Collaborate with stakeholders to get feedback and approval

          Manage the IT requirements development and approval process to get projects in the development queue

          Work with extended teams to perform quality assurance testing and push projects live

          Optimization: collaborate with the global optimization team to determine priorities, track roadmap and implement A/B testing for UX projects

          Participate in regular interlocks with cross-functional geography, business unit team members and executives to communicate progress on UX priorities and share best practices

 

Specific Projects

·  Support the eCommerce strategic gaming initiative from a user experience perspective to create a best in class gaming community destination on lenovo.com

·  Manage the Voice of the Customer business management system for entire eCommerce organization to optimize customer satisfaction metrics

·  Develop a performance improvement strategy and roadmap in partnership with IT to improve actual and perceived page performance across high value pages

Review performance analysis of pages using tools like Blue Triangle and Google Page Speed Insights to identify opportunities for improvement and monitor progress

Collaborate with Global Performance team to establish benchmarks and standardize metrics used to analyze page performance across the site

 

Qualifications:

·  Ecommerce/UX experience

3-5 years of previous User Experience work in an eCommerce environment. Prefer experience working on large eCommerce websites

Understanding of effective web design, e-commerce and key UX principles

Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment where innovation is expected

Experience with A/B testing and design thinking

·  Website Performance

Previous experience working on projects focused on improving website performance. Experience working on performance of responsive websites across multiple devices is preferred

Experience with performance tools like Google Page Speed Insights, Google Developer Tools, Blue Triangle, or other performance testing tools preferred

·  Project Management

Strong project management and organizational skills to manage many projects with different deadlines

Experience with the agile methodology and with key agile tools like JIRA

Experience with taking a project from conceptualization through delivery, including robust quality assurance testing, bug submission and deployment

Ability to easily conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines

Ability to work on several projects simultaneously with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks independently

Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential

Strong self-initiative with the ability to identify areas of improvement with little direction

Fine attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate end-results

Strong Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) skills

Excellent communication skills are crucial since this position will work with multiple cross-functional teams

Comfortable with communicating/advocating for projects with executives

Possess a positive attitude and ability to work in a collaborative and energetic team environment

Ability to drive adherence to deadlines with many different teams
