Job Description

Project Manager will work with business partners to ensure that strategic change initiatives of the executive team meet objectives and are executed in a timely manner and on budget. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans via sound change and project management methodologies. Initiatives have major influence on the quality and timeliness of products or services, or impact the financial performance of the organization and require cross-divisional coordination, communication, influence and negotiation. This includes oversight and leadership of all organizational and executive change management and project team activities to insure adoption, utilization and proficiency of the changes that impact employees in the organization.


Essential Functions

  • Responsible for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation of initiatives end-to-end.
  • Implementation activities will include management of a project plan and budget, resolving and/or escalating issues, mitigating risk to business operations from changes, facilitating meetings to drive decision making or to provide status updates, and ensuring adoption of change by clients and associates.
  • Serves as primary contact to senior functional manager(s) sponsoring the initiative.
  • Partners with sponsoring manager to ensure their strategy and goals are realized through the initiative. Maintains frequent communication with sponsoring manager to ensure project status and areas requiring intervention are understood.
  • Needs experience in client facing and will do over 10 projects at one time
  • Manages all project delivery including identification of roles and quantity needed and working across businesses to obtain time commitments.
  • Virtually manages project staff and budget across BAMS divisions, parent companies, and other 3rd parties as required..
  • Prepares all communications required to describe status of initiative to business leaders. Includes development of weekly status reports, as well as executive presentations required for special topics.
  • Project documentation management ( ownership of deliverables)
  • Report status to Program Manager.
  • Responsible with project sponsor in managing project change controls (Amendments, variance, scope mgmt.).
  • Facilitations/documentation of requirements as needed.

  • Works well in a matrixed environment, taking direction from management team, as well as business sponsors for initiatives being implemented
  • Proficient multi-tasker, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Self-starter, who accomplishes goals with broad direction and minimal day-to-day supervision
  • Flexible, with ability to quickly adapt to changes in business direction that may impact initiatives in progress with minimal noise
  • Good executive presence, with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Conveys complex and technical concepts with simplicity and clarity.
  • Assist Program Management Office with development of one or more initiative execution or governance processes as improvement opportunities are identified
  • Required Experience
  • 5-7 years previous Project Management experience; certification preferred
  • Experience in defining and implementing process improvements, including Process modeling and design
  • Experience in implementing technology solutions end-to-end
  • Six Sigma process trained; preferred
  • Business acumen, with Merchant Services, Credit Card functional experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
